Anyone familiar with my lifestyle, knows that I ‘occasionally’ like to go out for a drink now and then. Not too often but, you know… once in a blue moon.
Anyhow, the day after ‘might’ at times feel not so great. I’m talking about those days where you have to open your refrigerator door with snowboard goggles and your head feels like it was repeatedly kicked in the head by a rowdy 6-year old who sat behind you on a 14 hour flight to Alaska.
Those days where you wonder if it was ‘really’ such a good idea to listen to your friends and do tequila shots and chase them with vodka and gin because work was rough and you need to drink because you want to forget that one specific colleague with bad breath who keeps forcing you to watch 28 minute videos on his phone and you don’t want to be rude so you curse their name silently under your breath, smile politely and watch it.
In fact as I am writing this article, I am dealing with a slight hangover as well. One I haven’t felt as bad since that one time my friends and decided it was a ‘good’ idea to do tequila shots and chase them with gin and vodka after watching my colleague’s 28 minute long… well, you know what I mean. So when some good friends of mine asked me to have dinner at a nice Colombian restaurant after a specific rowdy weekend, I couldnt say “sí” fast enough! (Sí means ‘yes’ by the way. The learning just never ends on this blog.) As everyone knows, good fatty food work wonders to absorb all the toxins and shame and regret that can fill your stomache after a night of bad decisions.
Food/Menu: There was sooo much food on the menu so we decided to all get some stuff and grab food from eachother’s plates. We started with “Empanadas” (Beef filled pastries) and “Arepas”. Basically eveything was deliciosooo. From the “Arros con Camarones” and Carne Asada, to the Pescado. A highlight was the variation of the food. From beef, to pork, fish, chicken. The Carne Asada (Grilled Beef) is definitely a recommendation.
Vibe: It was really ‘bueno’. It is a pretty spacious restaurant so it’s awesome to eat with groups. It starts from
Prices: Surprisingly affordable. Appetizers already start from € 2,50. Meals from € 16,00.
Personell: The service was not bad but the best part is that the staff immediately starts speaking Spanish with you upon arrival. Olé!
