If you live in Europe you are probably very familiar with Vapiano.
Vapiano is great. Affordable Italian food in a casual but sleek setting. Great.
No, Really I love it. I enjoy their food. It’s Italian so it already has a step above everything else. Not to be a nitpicker but Vapiano does have it downsides.
No one likes to wait too long for their food. But it’s especially annoying when you have to wait so long for your pasta, that your friends who have ordered pizza instead, have started on their pizzas, took pictures of their pizzas, finished eating their pizza, enjoyed their pizza, started on their desserts, took pics of their desserts, went to the bathroom, went outside to smoke, came back, took a nap, and woke up just in time for the vapiano/pasta guy/girl to make your food and tell you your favourite pasta kind is finished so you will just have to settle for angel hair pasta.
It’s common knowledge that eating angel hair pasta is like driving a Ford Fiesta or Mr Bean’s red three wheel Reliant Robin car. It’s not particularly bad but you wouldn’t mind being in a BMW at that moment. Sure you won’t be choking on 30 cm long fetuccine pasta ropes and it is not as bad as Soba Buckwheat Noodle Pasta… (Who makes up these names, bruh…?)but you catch my drift.
Dont be sad, don’t worry.. now there is a new awesome and cheaper alternative:’ Happy Italy.’ A new chain of Italian eateries similar to Vapiano. With just as many amazing pizzas and pastas.
The best part… it’s a lot cheaper than Vapiano! This specifically comes in handy when you are short on cash because you’re waiting on he/she that you loaned money to and still haven’t had it back. You also don’t have to be annoyed to actually SEE them eating at Vapiano with the money you loaned them while you stand in line and pray to your God that they have more than just angel hair pasta.
Food/Menu: The food was great. We took the Salame Pizza and one of my favourite pastas ever, the Pasta Salmone. The food was out of this world awesome and the pasta could even be considered better than Vapiano’s. As I said, it’s actually very affordable. You can start with pizzas AND pastas from 4.75euros and up. Appatizers Antipasta start from 3.75 euros. I’ll force my siblings to come back so we can try the Dolci’s.
Personell: Everyone was extremely friendly and we did not have to wait long at all for our food.
Vibe: Pretty awesome actually. The place was huge. It was very comfortable to have a seat even though the place was pretty jampacked full.
Facilities: Can’t wait until they finally open new restaurants. This year will already see about 5 extra restaurants opening across The Netherlands. The one in Rotterdam is two minutes walking distance from the Blaak train station in Rotterdam.
