Chop chop salad opened up a few weeks ago at the hague central station. I pass by the central station every day and I am always checking out which new places are opening up there since it got renovated a while back. I kept seeing this cool green looking place outside on the corner of the station. The more often I passed it the more it felt like it was calling my name to come inside and waste more of my study funding. So one afternoon after a meeting, me and Jah decided to pass by for lunch.
On their menu they have 7 composed salads that you can also put into your wrap. The wrap is literally a salad thrown into a wrap and grilled on a toaster. You can also put together your own wrap or salad and pick and choose all the different toppings they have. Since I really did not know what to pick because of the many delicious options, one of the girls that works there helped me choose. She was really nice and attentive. They are really clean and make the salad with gloves on and I really appreciate that. Eventually I went with the Oriental sesame chicken in a wrap. The choppers they chop the salad with came all the way from New York, how cool is that!
I ate my wrap at home but it is also very cozy to eat it there. I love how they decorated this place (the pictures say enough)! I do not get full easily but what really suprised me is how filling the wrap was, maybe because of all the toppings in there but I liked the fact that I was not hungry after an hour or two.
I also liked the price which was around €8 per salad/wrap. I can really recommend this place! I hate passing by those fatty places and ruining my diet when I am at a train station and in a rush….but this is quick, not expensive and healthy.
And for the lazy kids out there, you can also order it through Deliveroo.
(stayed tuned for the one opening in Arnhem)
