“Follia Da Portare Via”
“Pizza Or Pasta”
BATTLE OF THE PROSCIUTTO
Statistically, Pizza consumption is globally becoming more and more popular than ever.
I don’t specifically remember where I found those statistics but, hey, Google is your friend!
We have been receiving amazing feedback and people have been giving us ideas about what they want us to review and those ideas will be posted on this blog eventually as well.
Since people have commented on my looooove for Italian food and especially Pizza, the idea to review two delivery Pizza’s, was easily conceived. (My vocabulary is so academic y’all.)
Why delivery pizza and not comparing restaurant dining pizza’s, guys?
Well because its OUR blog and we can write whatever WE want, HA! Also, am also a lazy bastard that likes to sometimes squander large amounts of paycheck money on delivery or ‘take-out’ food. I bet that some of you readers can relate. I also did not have 4 hours to make the damn thing myself and it probably would not have been as good. I ALSO think that there are 2 kinds of people in the world. People who love Pizza and LIARS!! Even though that had nothing to do with the question, it was important that we got that out of the way.
Throwback to our post of last weekend where we decided to review 2 delivered pizzas.
Last weekend was Follia Da Portare Via, an authentic Italian restaurant near The Hague city centre. This week I followed the high ratings of the delivery website so I could pay for a Pizza that wouldn’t just taste good, but could also rival the AWESOME pizza of Follia.
The lucky chosen place was “Pizza Or Pasta”. A Pizza restaurant not far from my appartment with good reviews. (Because I don’t feel like waiting for 3 hours for my pizza. I also don’t like waiting for money that people owe me so scoot scoot hurry up a little bit.)
I am not a big ham guy so the prosciutto was a gamble, but honestly I could eat a Pizza with dried mud on it as a topping and I would still be like ” Hmm, this pizza is really good you guys you should try this next time. This ‘leathery’ texture and earthy taste would go great with a nice 1978 bottle of Merlot.)
So the fight is between. Tartufo e prosciutto pizza from Follia and Proscuitto e Funghi from Pizza or Pasta.
Follia’s was fresh and you could taste the authenticity. The cheese was melty and seasoned to perfection and the crust was thin but still crispy in a sexy way. The rucola was a great compliment to the salty ham taste and I could not get over the freshness.
Pizza or Pasta: The Pizza also tasted freshly made. The ham was soft to chew and the mushrooms kept their flavor throughout the whole meal.
Prices : Follia’s is more expensive with € 14,00.
Compared to PoP’s € 9,99 .
But only one can be the Champ!
and the winner isss……
Follia!!! WHYYY: The Pizza’s authenticity level was a LOT better than PoP’s and I guess you cannot beat that. The PoP pizza kept having to be spiced and pimped up.
Sooooo again the winnaaaaaa…
Props and special shoutout to Pizza or Pasta’sdevilly DELICIOUS smoothie that I accidentally ordered and was too lazy to cancel. So glad my laziness paid off.
This thing was TOO good. I recommend it to everyone on a hot day.
This was it! It was lit! Thanks for all the feedback and stay tuned for our collaborations with other blogs, restaurants and businesses in May. We will also start doing a lot more comparisons.
Laziness Satisfaction Factor: 5 stars for Follia
