Yoghurt Barn opened up last week in The hague. If you dont know what the Yoghurt barn is, shame on you! Youre probably not hipster enough. But let me explain the concept, the Yoghurt barn is a place where you can get yoghurt, not just any kind of yoghurt (how many times have I said yoghurt already…) you can put together your favourite toppings with yo favourite yoghurt. You can also have a high tea and they even have vegan options. Jah and I were in the city centre as usual so we decided to pop by.

Barack and Michelle, Rihanna and Drake, Bonnie & Clyde, The Hague and Chinatown: All things that somehow just work together. This is our first post about the big Chinatown section in the Hague.
Arguably the best restaurant section: Full Moon city. Full Moon City literally contains multiple restaurants with different concepts. While Full moon Express tends to focus on dishes from for example Japan and China, Full Moon: Dim Sum & Hot Pot tends to focus more on traditional Western Chinese dishes and is especially known for their Dim Sum. Now for those of you who don’t know but always just pretend to know…
Dim sum is a style of of Chinese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food usually served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Continue reading

Last Saturday I was in le city centre with my mom and my boyfriend Daan. I had to buy new glasses which took pretty long so we were all starting to get a bit famished! I couldnt really think of anything and forgot that we were in the city centre where you have like 10.000 options to eat. After a minute or 2 I found the light and something amazing popped into my head… Little V in Chinatown.

If you live in Europe you are probably very familiar with Vapiano.
Vapiano is great. Affordable Italian food in a casual but sleek setting. Great.
No, Really I love it. I enjoy their food. It’s Italian so it already has a step above everything else. Not to be a nitpicker but Vapiano does have it downsides.
No one likes to wait too long for their food. But it’s especially annoying when you have to wait so long for your pasta, that your friends who have ordered pizza instead, have started on their pizzas, took pictures of their pizzas, finished eating their pizza, enjoyed their Continue reading

It is always complicated writing about bigger restaurant-chains. We started this blog to talk about hidden awesome independent places but sometimes the bigger places deserve attention too if they are really cool and awesome. My latest experience at this restaurant however? Not so great. I also did not feel like taking a lot of pictures so I decided to fill this post with appropriate memes. (So what???)
I happen to think that I am an intuitive person. But when I entered Dudok Den Haag for the first time I did not have a specific feeling about it. After about 22 seconds of entry I was surprised by what apparently seemed to be a large cup of hot water and tea that flew past my face and smashed to the ground. Although I am a person that usually minds his own business, I coul Continue reading

My cousin and I were staying at Mainport Hotel Rotterdam. One of the best hotels Ive seen in a while. After enjoying our breakfast and view for 3 hours we had to check out and decided to go for lunch because it was already 12:30 and I mean why the hell not. Next to mainport, you have Inntel hotel. Inside you can find a cute little restaurant with a view of the water/river outside, probably one of the main reasons why the restaurant is given that name.

I believe that Italian food is an important part of the food chain. Mostly because I read it somewhere and now am totally convinced that it is. It might be beause it is 75% delicious and the other 25% is also delicious.
I also think that people underestimate the importance of listening to their bodies.
I happen to listen to mine all the time. Mine usually just says “…food, …right?”. Continue reading

Yesterday Bram’s Gourmet Frites opened up in Rotterdam. A new concept by the business Bram Ladage. Bram Ladage is a very well known booth that sells fries in Rotterdam & other cities, I think every person who lives in Rotterdam knows them (and if you dont , shame on you). At this new location they serve Dutch fries with 5 different kinds of stew. The stew is developed by famous Dutch Chef Herman den Blijker. The fries/potatoes are also from the region of Rotterdam.
Since my school is literally across the street from this new location and because my love for fries is endless, I decided to pay a visit.

Some people like to save the best things for last. Others ask… “For what??!”
Sometimes life is too short to keep the good stuff hidden for too long.
That’s why today’s post is a special one. “Pff but why though, Jah?”
Well reader, I’m glad you asked but all in due time. First I want to talk about my love for coffee. It runs deep. Very deep. (Warning: This post may or may not contain a mild amount of coffee jokes and puns. So what. Who cares? do you pay my bills??? )
You see, I love coffee. I mean I’m chewing on coffee beans right now. Sometimes I like to believe that coffee was created so I could fully benefit (and abuse and misuse) its magical effects and wonders for my “sometimes” somewhat rowdy lifestyle. People always ask me how I’m able to keep going day in and day out. Truth is I only sleep when my body is not on caffeine anymore.
I think that if I could choose a favourite soup, it would probably be coffee. (What? well yeah, I mean it comes from coffee beans and beans are a vegetable, I guess so then it counts as soup. Just leave me alone!) Continue reading

Bae and I wanted to be like all the other couples out there and go away for the weekend because thats what people do right? We wanted to know what all the fuss was about. After a lot of discussions and arguments we decided to go to Eindhoven. Why? God knows. I guess we just ended up randomly picking something because the discussions were getting out of hand. We stayed in Boutique Glow Hotel for 1 night which is perfect if you are on a Budget. It’s also 2 minutes away from the city centre.
